CHAGA ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES
64Chaga Antioxidant Properties: Is It True That Chaga Is Rich In Antioxidant Content?
When it comes to a discussion of antioxidant properties, antioxidant vegetable, antioxidant defense, antioxidant free radicals and other topics related to antioxidants, everybody talks about fruits and herbs like guava, berries, pine apple, oranges, limes, lemons, apples, mangoes, various other kinds of citrus fruits, peaches, avocados and even acai berries – the Brazilian rain forest miracle herb.
But did you know there are herbs with more powerful antioxidant properties than even acai berry? Chaga mushrooms, a native of Russia, east Europe, Korea, Siberia, North Carolina Mountains and northern portions of USA, contain 10 times more super antioxidants than acai berry fruit juices or health drinks. It is not without reason that Chaga mushrooms are labeled as Mushroom of Immortality, Gift of God and King of Herbs.
Let me now discuss the contents and ingredients of Chaga mushrooms, an Adaptogenic herb. Siberian Chaga is rich in natural minerals, betulinic acid, amino acids, saponins and an abundance of beta glucans. There are over 25 to 50 times more SOD antioxidants in Chaga mushrooms than in wild blueberries, in vitamin C, in co Q 10, Agarigus and Lingzhi. Chaga mushrooms also possess 215 plus anti ageing phytonutrients and ranks amongst the highest antioxidant carriers in the world.
For the past 5600 years, Chaga has been used in folk therapy as a folk remedy for inoperable cancers like breast cancer, lip cancer, uterine cancer, gastritis, Hodgkin’s disease, rectal cancers, skin and stomach cancers, pulmonary cancers, parotid glands and gastric problems.
It is perhaps the best botanical medicinal herb in history, surpassing all other botanical herbs found in the world, and people in all cultures revere it for its anti ageing and curative properties.
Those who wish to extend their youth, delay the appearance of the signs of ageing, prevent ageing and turn back the age clock or preserve their youth can try out Chaga mushrooms in the form of tea or health drink every day for its richest concentrations of super antioxidants.
If you are looking for an antioxidant vegetable or antioxidant defense or antioxidant free radicals fighter that also contains numerous other vital nutrients, your search ends with Siberian Chaga mushrooms. It happens to be the strongest antioxidant known to mankind and possesses the highest value of antioxidants.

Chaga appears to be a wonderful herb.It is rich in antioxidants and antiageing phytonutrients.I,therefore, agree with what you have said in last but one para. Thanks for your hard work on research.
Nice article.
What you left out is also really important: only extracted chaga (so NOT raw Chaga - we can't digest this) can claim the qualities you're mentioning.
And even then, not all Chaga is alike. Have you ever noticed most online shops selling Chaga products are making exaggerated statements about Chaga (including its anti-oxidant properties) but nobody ever produces a proof for their claims ?
Well, here is a true and verified analysis report from the Brunswick lab (the standard in ORAC value determination) about the Oriveda Chaga extract. The outcome is higher than I've ever seen on a Chaga product and compared to the official oracvalues.com - scale, it is in the top 10 of all anti-oxidants. Compared to e.g. the product sold by mychaga.com this is 10 times more powerful.
146,700 TE units p/100 grams or 1,467 TE units p/gram, whatever scale you choose.

I harvest chaga in Ontario.
It is really nice to go up there in the woods. Last time I saw a moose.
